Remember the One Day on Earth Project; where filmmakers from all over the world contributed toward a truly global collaboration. Well it is still on the go; deadline for loading footage is the 10th November 2010.
The World Hour Project is kind of the same thing; except over an hour.
The World Hour Project is an invitation for filmmakers and photographers to get engaged globally and work together to shoot a series of short films. It is an opportunity for us to share our unique visions of the world with the people who inhabit it and one another.
It provides for filmmakers from each of the twenty-four time zones to collaborate simultaneously during one predetermined hour. They will explore and reveal their insights on a single topic, with each contributor adding another dimension to that film’s particular subject matter.
A new theme will be shot every four to six weeks so we can maintain a continuous dialogue about what moves the globe and the filmmakers who live here, one hour at a time.
These one-hour slices of global history will be archived here and available to the world for viewing at any time.
I am going to get involved, are you?
