The Vimeo Festival and Awards

June 23, 2010 — 1 Comment

Vimeo is wanting to honor creative minds, kudos Vimeo kudos. I just hope that they do really pick the most creative video and not just the most slick and professional looking.
The Awards run in New York City, 8 – 9 October 2010.

It’s time to honor the creative minds behind the world’s most innovative videos online.

Prize

The best overall video will win a $25,000 grant to create a new and original work, nice. That could go nicely towards producing a great Independent Film.

Categories

Here are the Categories for submission, think I will go for Experimental, lol:

  • Narrative
  • Animation
  • Documentary
  • Motion GFX
  • Music Video
  • Experimental
  • Remix
  • Captured
  • Original Series

Submission and Nomination

What is great is that even if you cannot submit a video you can nominate a video. What I do not like about it is that there is a $20 fee for each video submitted. There is no fee for nomination but that does not mean submission; only “Bringing it the the attention of the Judges” – so Nominate like crazy.
