Couple of things worth mentioning (disclaimer:I am an iPad raving fan…)

1. You can indeed use the iPad as a front end to a video editing system justly using one of the many VLC apps in the market. Not sure how user friendly it would be for the task, but it surely is possible

2. There is no need to convert video to apple’s format; just download VLC and transfer movies in pretty much any format, you will be able to watch them

3. There are now a few apps that allow light video editing tasks to be done in the iPad. Reelsoft (iPad) and aimersoft (iPhone) are a couple of good examples.

if you want to edit videos on iPhone ,strongly recommend you use Aimersoft video editor. It allows you merge videos into one, split videos into smaller, or add background music for videos.

Even though how excellent the software is, it is still a pity that ipad users can’t watch video on ipad directly.

I borrowed an iPad for a week, it was great, but Personally – it will take me a while to leave physical books, also the iPad just does not fit in my pocket and I’ld rather have a 30″ screen when using other apps. But having said that – it’s great to work with when wondering around.

hmm, strange I don’t have that problem with conversion. As for the Flash story, I don’t know – HTML is looking quite good.

the weakness of video and flash is keeping people out of ipad . i usually need to convert my favorite vdieo to ipad compatible format ,which takes a lot of time !
