Well it is about time.
Huff and Puff
From an editor’s point of view I am pretty keen to hear how this baby does. Particularly I am interested in how Motion does.
The New Mac Pro has the Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processor; which is supposed to be much more efficient – so don’t let the processor speeds disappoint.
I am umpressed that the entry level variants come with 3GB RAM for the Quad core and 6GB RAM for the 8 Core. But I am not impressed with the fact that the RAM speed is 1066MHz (it should be 1333MHz) – hmmm, a bid to keep the price down? But hey it is DDR3, woot.
Also the Graphics card is a bit of a downer – there are better options; why not start standard with ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB?
Still no Blu-Ray, hmmmm, interesting (or frustrating)
