The Easter Challenge

eastercrossThere are public holidays aplenty coming, yayyy.

But what for?

Surely there is a reason. A reason that goes beyond easter eggs and bunnies.

Well we all know the importance of Easter as Christians, but do we really know the details.

Why? How? What? Who?

So here is the thing, why don’t you find out; attend a Church Service, read up about it or even attend an Online Church Service.

  1. For reading and some serious study I would recommend MayHeIncrease and the articles on the HolyWeek.
  2. For an Online Church I highly recommend LifeChurch.tv – the first time I saw it I was blown away.
  3. As for attending a Church Service. I know that many people do the family thing and attend 2 Church Services a year; Christmas and Easter. Don’t let up this year, this is a great opportunity to find out more. Especially since 99% of Churches will be explaining Salvation and that is what Jesus has provided us this time almost 2000 years ago – and that is what the Church is about, as well as helping you grow in your relationship with Christ.

So now for the Challenge:

Try one of the above; find out for yourself. Knowledge is power. Well the wise use of knowledge is.  I highly recommend LifeChurch.tv – all you have to do is click the link and no one will diss u 4 it.

However I do reckon that an actual Church Service in your area is a must. Nothing like the real thing I say. Come as you are. Jeans, T-Shirt, shaven – unshaven, whatever, just come. It does not matter who you are, what you believe, agnostic, atheist, Muslim, Buddist or even a so-called backslider. Just come and suss it out.

The Church I go to is Stellenberg Community Church in Pinelands, Cape Town, South Africa. We are going to change the name ;-) but we are upbeat, funky and have a relevant message. The band rocks more than you can guess. Don’t believe me? Come see for yourself. Directions here.

      Brother Phil!

Thank you for the “link love.” You are a blessing.

Have a blessed weekend, my friend, as we remember the day of our redemption and Christ’s glorious resurrection!

      Joe.

      :-)
I’ll be happy if certain people come to Church on Sunday that I am praying for,
that they may hear of Christ and what He did for us and be changed.

Hey! I also go to that church :)
      See you there :)
Am praying hard for some people this weekend. They are so far away from coming to church, but God is going to do big things in their lives.
