One of my goals in 2010 is to increase my subscription readership to 100 subscribers. Of course there are many out there who make use of plugins, apps, online readers like gooreader and email; maybe at the same time – for one person. So one hundred subscribers will not mean 100 actual readers. But that is what I am gunning for.
Why? Because it is a listening post for many. It may not translate into interaction but it means that there are people out there who have an interest in what I have to say. And if they delve deeper then they will hear what everyone else has to say – in the comments.
How? You will see on the top right a heading called SUBSCRIBE. This provide two options; the first to subscribe to SynapticLight’s RSS feed thru any of the applications listed in the resulting screen; I suggest Google Reader – very cool. The Second allows you subscribe to receive Emails once a day for the latest post or posts of the day.
Please subscribe, and please tell your friends

Hey Phil
Just been catching up on some feed reader. noticed that you have started putting only summaries onto the feed reader…
Shame on you. I know it might in some cases cause click through. But for some of us (hiding behind nazi proxies) it is a real PITA.
oh, did not know that was the result of adding an Excerpt to the post – know I know. Pity, I was hoping that it would improve search results.
Phill, sounds like a good goal. I’ve been trying to think of creative ways to increase RSS subscribers on my blogs too. Would like to have more “regulars” involved to enrich the conversation and RSS is one of the best ways to do that.
yes – regular readers who enrich the conversation.
beyond the numbers
high page hits and RSS subscriptions don’t translate directly to better communication, but it certainly gives you a better chance to see that to success. I think. something like
10000:100:200
“monthly page hits”:”monthly comments”:”subscribers”
oh dear, I am back into the numbers game
