With the launch of CS5, I have become quite interested in After Effects. However, my hesitation of moving from Shake to AE has been my preference to Node Based Compositing (where as AE is Layer based, with a sort of Node view). So here is an interesting view from the other side of the spectrum: if you are a layer based compositer looking into node based applications.
