Mobile Video Editing: 1st Video

1st_video

Another good looking mobile video editor. Now if you could connect a decent video camera to your iPad and stream it directly then you could really get going. lol, well, the more I think about the more I think that the iPhone is just so much more convenient to carry around. The screen is just so small to edit video on, however I would just be top and tailing the video – more than anything.
Vericorde has this really neat mobile video editor for the iPhone and of course the iPad. It looks like something that can make you the true community news gathers in this time of new media. If new media is throwing around video clips onto ever video sharing site :P

Sounds interesting, as mobiles get more processing power well see better editors on mobiles itself. It really shouldn’t be too long IMO.

yeah, should not be too long. In a few years there will be a mobile device running with a 2.66GHz dual core processor – maybe running with Final Cut Mobile on it?

I like this … makes me wish I could have made the NAB Show.

However, I think the video would have been better if we’d seen him editing from the start and not just add pre-prepped clips ;) that said the app certainly looks sweet and for $10 I may just be tempted.

Also, now I’ve played with the app (the free version) for a little bit it doesn’t seem to cope well with video already on the iphone.

It appears to import and play back ok but as soon as I try to add a clip to the timeline the app has a blank edit window with the apple ‘circle of wait’. At first I thought that was the video size so I used it to trim the vid down to 2 seconds and still I wait!

Then I double tap the edit screen and magically it appears. The other issue I’m having is that whenever I go to audio edit the app closes!

Looks like a buggete or two methinks.
