True mobile filmmaking is here, well kind of.
The device that houses the camera, contains the editing application.
The device that has the editing application has the ability to distribute the finished content.
The device that can distribute, is mobile and connected.
wow.
Ok, granted in this example, we have a very professional approach to the filmmaking process. This video was not slapped together on a wim; it was planned and production was on par with normal film production practices – just check the behind the scenes.
One take home here is that you can make a good film by applying time honoured practices in spite of the camera.

Have you tried the iMovie app with IOS4 yet?
I tried that app you sugegsted a couple months back and never got on with it so iMovie might just be a reason to push my upgrade to the new OS sooner. For now I’m sticking with good old 3.1.3 on my iphone.

but will be loaning an iPad for a few days
I am not all together sure that I will ever edit on such a small screen – if I had an option I would have two 30″ screens to edit with. So it seems silly that I would use a 3.5″ or there about.
But would be interesting to see how it works.
yet strange that iMovie for the iPhone is not free.
