glossary of terms

Also derived from that link, via fxguide is a comprehensive glossary of terms and their definitions -

ambient occlusion, depth of focus,  rotoscope, Z-depth compositing, etc

e.g.:

anamorphic format

A film format characterized by the fact that the image captured on the negative is horizontally squeezed by the use of a special lens. It is later unsqueezed at projection time by the appropriate amount. For most 35mm feature-film work, the standard anamorphic format produces a 2.35:1 aspect ratio when projected

And then, Apple Color Presets

(That Military Look, Blockbuster, Gold Dusk, etc )

These presets/grades can be simply downloaded and imported into Color and used right away, nice. Obviously they will have to be tweaked, they will also depend on the footage. But I am gonna give them a try soon :-)
