In Remembrance of my Father

My Father passed away on Friday, 12th December 2008.  He was a strong Christian and had no doubts in the Grace of Jesus Christ; so I have no doubt as to where he will be for eternity. Funny thing is that he was the last of the family to accept Christ as his lord and personal Saviour (quiet a long time ago) while the rest of us have yo-yo’d in our Faith. Unfortunately, now I am the only one in the family who remains steadfast – so your prayers are definitely welcome.

What I am so grateful for is that he got to see both his sons married. My boet; Jason got married the week before on the 6th December. And he got to see both his Grandsons; my son Stephen and Jason’s; Jamy. As well as seeing almost the whole family together at Jason’s Wedding. Pity my cousin Julie and her family could not make it.

Now I have to fly up to the funeral in Johannesburg and help sort things out, man alive it sucks the life out of you. I just want to spend time with my Mom and boet and not have to worry about anything other that just being there and remembering Dad.

Looked like he was a great man, Phil! This was the best way possible to honour his memory.

Hope you and your family have a great festive season…

Hi Phil, praying for you and your family. So glad to hear your dad eventually accepted Christ and had the joy of the weddings and grandchildren.
