Ideas and their Killers

November 23, 2009 — 1 Comment

Anybody can have a great idea. Most of the time we kill our own ideas with self doubt, bad motives or just bad planning. To prevent Good Ideas being killed off:

  • Keep a notepad handy at all times. Do no think that you’ll remember them later, it is like trying to remember a dream.
  • Think about what makes your idea unique. It may not be a unique idea but you may have a unique angle to it.
  • Timing is Everything. Blurting it out to the general audience is probably worse than doubting the idea’s merit. Best to think about it and plan how to make it live beyond your own thoughts.
  • Trust Yourself. Consider the idea on it’s merit not yours least you kill it with your self doubt.
