Ok, I am completely biased
Completely.
My 18 month son just blew my mind away this weekend – twice.
First, while I was otherwise indisposed, my wife Kathy arrived bad from a quick trip to Church and did not have the keys. So Kathy asks Stephen for the key, and without any hesitation Stephen takes the keys out of the top compartment of the pram (as high as his out stretched hands and closed) and hands them over to Kathy.
Awesome.
Second. Kathy and I were looking for Stephen’s water bottle – even asking him where it was. We should have learnt from the first example. Stephen was pointing and making sounds from his chair but we were not listening. I took him out and Stephen starting peering under the couch in a way that only a kid that age can do – cute. So I just humoured him and peered through from the otherside. Lo and behold there was the water bottle.
Awesome.
Isn’t amazing how kids learn from social interaction and observation – sometimes without us being intentional about it?
How has your child amazed you? Feel free to share

cool
The thing with kids thought is learning to understand their limited communication skills
CJ gets really frustrated with me when I can’t understand what she is saying. I say excuse me and she just shouts louder
