1. Church Crunch
What is ChurchCrunch?
Basically it is a Web Technology blog that covers pretty much all aspects of the technology. It is predominantly a Christian and aims to investigate and bring to light those technologies that can be leveraged in order to share the truth about Jesus Christ; however what is discussed it absolutely relevant to anybody seeking to learn and use Web Technology for their own purposes or for business. The blog is run by John Saddington who also runs Human3rror (another great blog)
Why is it important to me?
By far the most engaging and informative blog a know. Why is that? Well, because the content is useful, applicable and fun. Apart from that the people that frequent and comment on the blog are willing to take part of the conversation and offer their thoughts, perspectives and words of humor where fit. Good evidence of this is the fact that; along with some very cool people, I have been able (permitted/allowed I am not sure) to submit a few guest posts for.
2. Pro Blogger
What is ProBlogger?
A blog that helps bloggers. Very simple? Actually the content is very involved and has much word especially if you are extra keen to learn and apply the principles. Darren Rowse is the blogger and he does this full time, wow. He also blogs at Digital Photography School and TwiTip.
Why is it important to me?
Being quite new at this and slowly building my readership and support, I value resources like this. There are many like this, but I have found this to be the most useful especially since Darren is currently running a 31 Day course for building a better blog that I am taking part in.
3. RagaMuffin Soul
What is RagaMuffinSoul?
Carlos Whittaker’s blog is really a massive keeping it real account and journey. Carlos relates his thoughts on pretty much anything, but usually regarding his work at Buckhead (where he is the Creative Director) and his family.
Why is it important to me?
I love how honest he is, really – it’s quite amazing. Also I just love the work they do at Buckhead – great to see the stuff happening there through his eyes. Pretty cool.
4. Pro Video Coalition
What is ProVideoCoalition?
This is really a collection of bloggers from the Video and Video Editing sphere. You could say a coalition of professional video people. They blog about cameras, computers, techniques, hardware and software – all relating to video.
Why is it important to me?
I have a camera and editing with Final Cut Studio and Shake, and I am a RED cheerleader. Besides that, the articles of everything from Color Correction to Motion Graphics is nothing short of phenomenal. They have fantastic reviews. Ok it is extremely technical but the guys are great. I especially enjoy the EditBlog by Scott Simmons and HD for Indies by Mike Curtis.
5. Little Frog in High Def
What is Little Frog in High Def?
Shane Ross; author of Getting Organized in Final Cut Pro and a television editor, works with High Definition together with Final Cut Pro. Shane has also worked with the RED One and is a Creative Cow. In his blog Shane shares his experiences and insights as well as providing great reviews, tutorials and tips.
Why is it important to me?
Well, Shane works with Final Cut Pro and so do I. And pretty much all that Little Frog in High Def interests me. There is always something great to learn there if you are an editor.
6. Pro Lost
What is Pro Lost?
Stu Maschwitz; author of The DV Rebel’s Guide and senior visual effects supervisor of the Spirit, has a lot of wisdom in the art and grit of filmmaking. His blog covers practical aspects of filmmaking as well as lots of investigation into cameras.
Why is it important to me?
I love the filmmaking aspects of what Stu talks about as well as his insights into still cameras. Of course the visual effects that Stu has done interesting me a lot especially since he has done the work commercially as apposed to just talking about it.
7. AppleMotion.net
What is AppleMotion.net?
This site is dedicated to all things relating to Apple’s Motion product. It is full of fantastic tutorials and content for learning and using Motion.
Why is it important to me?
AppleMotion.net is a brilliant location of me to learn more about Motion. I use Motion a lot for creating visual enhancements for church.
8. Inside North Point Media
What is Inside North Point Media?
North Point Media Team’s blog. Here you will find some of the creative processes and results for the stuff that they put together for North Point.
Why is it important to me?
I am part of the Media team at my church, basically I lead the video team and efforts. We are also strategic partners to North Point. But besides that I look up to these guys because they do some really inspirational stuff. This site just launched recently.

Very awesome, some really relevant blogs to keep you informed and updated with the latest information. They look like they are very useful sites, I might even consider looking at some myself.
you should definitely check out ragamuffinsoul
ninja like http://churchcrunch.com
Sweeeeeeeet.
Good reason why it is Nr ONE although the rest aint in any order
I second the recommendation to Problogger, especially now since they are holding the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge. Every blogger interested in improving their site should check out the posts, or join if they still can.

I’ve been a fan of ProBlogger for over a year-and-a-half. Back in late 2007/early 2008, I ran a blog on blogging etiquette. After about 6 months, I got tired of it and turned it into my personal blog. But, ProBlogger was one of the few “how to blog well” sites that I still read.
Of course, with the focus of our company blog being “a holistic approach to church web strategy”, I naturally enjoy ChurchCrunch, especially when John writes about web stuff. (Don’t care so much for the other tech stuff.)
Loswhit at RagamuffinSoul.com is always entertaining and insightful, but not a daily read for me. Used to be a subscriber, but I’m trying to protect who I subscribe to these days. It can get out of hand in a hurry. (Plus, I like the little blogs…the bloggers who labor to produce solid content for only a few people are worthy of my attention.
thanks Scott for stopping by and commenting, I appreciate that.
what are some of the blogs that are important to you and different to what I have listed here?
