We all stayed in the most amazing place that overlooked the beach. Ok it was a lot of stairs to get down to the sand, but at least I burnt off some of those extra kilojoules that seems to accumulate over Christmas 
The View from the Penthouse
It was not overly hot or humid, which was perfect. The water was great – not freezing cold like Cape Town (sorry) but I had to get little Stephen out twice because he was getting cold. Oh and did he enjoy himself lol 
Starting the Sand Castle
The one night there was a huge storm; blowing roof tiles off, breaking windows in other complexes and forcing water thru the doors.
The pleasure of shutter control
My boet and I must had tried 100 times to get the handful of lightning pictures before we were forced indoors by the driving rain. It was a lot of luck and patience with the shutter open for 15 seconds with F8.0 and ISO80 or ISO100.
We certainly got together as a family in what was an unprecedented Gibb gathering on Christmas eve.
