Synaptic Light is a blog dedicated to my participation and dreams in the realms of filmmaking, post production, motion graphics and leveraging the mechanisms and tools of social media to help, learn and connection with people in the same interest groups.
My journey started at Stellenberg Community Church (now Southpoint Church ) sometime in 2003 where I was asked to help with Video. back then we had a a small Hi-8 camera. There my passion was ignited and developed to the point where I invested money, time and energy to build a team that would support the Church with Video Content and Motion Graphics. We have certainly come a long way and have much further to go.
And now the team grows; a fantastic group, who are dedicated to enhance the Main Church Service, KIDStuf (put on the back burner for now), Transformers(Now UpStreet), and InsideOut with cool videos and motion graphics.
Our mission is to aid and assist the environments in delivering the message and lessons to the people who need to hear from the Lord.
Why I do this
- To bring Glory to Jesus Christ – my Lord and Saviour – to whom I am a servant in all things I do, even this – blogging, filming and editing
- To create connections and relationships with those that have similar interests as me. I agree with A Few Benefits of Blogging from http://churchcrunch.com/
- To learn – there are so many more skilled people out there than me
- To offer my opinion and thoughts regarding my passion for video and editing
- To show what my Church is doing that is really cool, especially with respect to Life Change and all aspects video related.
- And of course I can express myself better in this format and forum
