Every month I highlight the top 10 posts of SynapticLight. The month of July was an interesting Month, what with the Soccer World Cup ending off with a Fantastic Final between the Netherlands and Spain. I was supporting Spain, yayyy. Then the month ended with Apple throwing out a whole bunch of new stuff; from the external touch pad to the 12 core Mac Pro. I was both impressed and disappointed Apple’s new Mac Pros, hmmm. Anyway, here are the top 10 posts of July, feel free to check them out, share your thoughts here or on the separate posts – the biggest win on this blog will always be your comment.
- 5 Weekly Filmmaking Links
- The Ever Democratization of Filmmaking
- New Windows Movie Maker
- 5 Communities at SynapticLight
- Filmmaking Squared by Google
- YouTube 4K
- The Social Network – Theatrical Trailers
- 12 Cores of RAW Power
- The Quest: adidas Football (2010 World Cup)
- Fellowship of the Vuvuzela
I changed my weekly series of filmmaking links by changing the name and adding more useful information – it seems to have really paid off in terms of visits.
The opportunity to market and distribute video content has never been this easy, is that a good thing?
For once I can offer an alternative to windows users looking for a free editing app, is it good enough?
There are other ways to get involved in here a SynapticLight – your input on all of these communities is invaluable.
Though it would be fun to test out Google Squared with the search term: Filmmaking
Is this just too much? 4K uploaded and viewed on the YouTube – will the ISPs handle it, can you stream 4K?
The story of Facebook – I wonder if it is over hyped. Are they counting to the success of Facebook to make a profit on the film about facebook? hmmm.
Finally Apple release an update to the Mac Pro and re-install my confidence that Apple still care for the professional community.
Some Soccer World Cup video fun with Adidas
Some more Soccer World Cup video fun with some interesting compositing. My 3 yr son liked it. ha ha ha
